resumeang: Examined the efficacy of a brief time-limited (BTL) group therapy by comparing BTL and time-limited (TL) group member feedback at termination. 40 19-47 yr olds from TL groups and 24 19-43 yr olds from BTL groups filled out a demographic sheet and completed their Session Assessment Questionnaire following the 9th-14th weekly sessions. All groups ended at the 14th week. Results showed a main effect between groups at a marginal level of significance. BTL groups did not show a lack of investment in the group process at termination session on the dimensions of Depth, Positivity and Arousal. TL groups were rated as less smooth on the Session Assessment Questionnaire during the final session. However, TL groups rated the termination as significantly less smooth, suggesting that they had a more difficult time working through the tasks of termination.
